Competitors: Angel Flores, Maanas Sathaye

The UT Weightlifting Team spent their Saturday running the Texas Barbell Christmas Classic & Longhorn Benefit in the midst of finals week. This meet served as a fundraiser for the teams travel to University Nationals in February to Pleasanton, CA. The team saw the national squad grow to eight after Maanas qualified in the 73kg class going 80/110/190 for a 10kg total PR. Angel also competed and went 78/106/184 with competition PRs in both lifts in a 4 for 6 day. The team will be competing next at the Texas State Championships in January and University Nationals three weeks later.
